DATA SHEET 3900-820 |
DESCRIPTION
820 Rapid-Set Patching Compound is a ready-to-use, fast-hardening, high strength concrete repairing compound. Restoring concrete structures subject to corrosive attack from the sea and heavy weathering revealed the exceptional bond and durability provided by the formulation. Millions of pounds have been used yearly by private contractors and government agencies. 820 Rapid-Set Patching Compound is also available in a Sulfate Resistant version.
USES
820 Rapid-Set Patching Compound applications include the repair of any masonry or concrete structure in need of restoration
Summer Grade
For use in fairly warm summer-like temperatures 50°F (10°C) and over.
Winter Grade
For use either above water or underwater in cold conditions. (Although tests show 820 Winter Grade Rapid-Set Patching Compound will set-up and harden at below freezing temperatures, it is safer to bring area to be repaired up to at least 32°F (0°C).
Limitation
820 Winter Grade Rapid-Set Patching Compound will set very quickly if used in warm summer weather.
Packaging
25 Kg multi-all paper bags
Preparatory Work
Insure that rigid foam insulation is securely fastened to concrete. The surface shall be firm and free of loose particles, grease, oil and other foreign matter. Apply self-sticking fiberglass tape over joints between insulation panels, to all outside corners, over fastener heads and damaged insulation areas.
Safety Precautions
Contains Portland cement. Avoid eye contact or prolonged contact with skin.
Working Characteristics
Coverage: Approximately 75 ft² (9.3 m²) per 25 kg pail of 825 Parge-All. On rougher surfaces, or if a thicker, highly textured surface is desired, coverage will be reduced.
