This is an Air Force helicopter repair facility that required a JFR meeting Federal Spec SS-S-200. GARDOX was applied using the Adhesive Systems Technology Corps CMP-632 two-part dispensing unit.
A cold-pour two-part sealant was not originally specified – the spec was ASTM D 1854, indicating a hot-pour product. Due to the safety issues involved with a hot-pour, the contractor went to the state and had GARDOX approved.
